GETTING AROUND
While public transportation is available via the main street leading into Vista Del Mar, to really enjoy your stay, it is recommended that guests have access to a private vehicle in order to more easily take advantage of grocery stores, restaurants, water taxis and
tour destinations.
Whether exploring the islands or the interior of the country, our location is the perfect base to launch. Water Taxis, which shuttle passengers to both Caye Caulker and Ambergris caye are only 8.5 miles away. You can easily travel North to explore the Mayan temples of Altun Ha and Lamanai, visit the Crooked Tree Wild Life Reserve for bird watching, travel to our Northern most Districts of Orange-Walk and Corozal, or even take a little day trip to Mexico. You can also easily connect to the Western Highway to visit the beautiful Belize Zoo, the Capital city of Belmopan, the U.S. and other embassies, or the Cayo District. The Baboon Sanctuary, located in Belize River Valley, is oly a 30 minute drive away.
